From Tucker's new Forever Family...
"Tucker settled down in the car and was wonderful for the ride. Of course everyone couldn't wait to meet him. He is getting used to stairs and right now we are on the couch together watching TV. I honestly think he will be so happy to get lots of attention and love. Thank you for being so good to Tucker. It was hard for him to leave you but the care and love you gave him really means so much. We will let you know how he is doing. Thanks!"

From her new family:
"Lulu is doing great! She has bonded with our other dog, Cloudy, and they both sleep with us. When I take them out in the morning Lulu likes to sleep late, so when I tell Cloudy “let’s go out” he runs to wake her up, and she comes.
She and the cat, Pickles, are a bit suspicious of each other, but their relationship continues to improve, and you should see the three of them chasing each other around the apartment. However, Lulu does not know what to make of our tortoise, Henry, and barks at him suspiciously.
We love her and, I think she knows it. Thank you!"
Betsy went to her forever family and will live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan! She had a long journey that has ended in a wonderful home where she can start her new life.
Great life to our baby!
From her forever family:
"We've heard there are no perfect dogs but Ellie is pretty darn close. We are so happy we took the plunge and adopted her. We've only had her for a short time but we can't imagine our lives without her already. Thanks to Woof! Dog Rescue for rescuing her! "
I adopted an adorable Havanse from WOOF! Dog Rescue. He is absolutely incredible!
Alfie is so loving and gets along great with my 15 year-old lab great! He loves being a part of my life and has made himself welcome wherever I take him. He's a fun loving little boy. We've become inseparable! When I got him he had an eye issue and the ladies from WOOF!were incredible in assisting with his rehabilitation.
Note from Woof: When Grayson was removed from the shelter and put in our care, he was deathly ill and spent his first week in intensive care at Animal Medical Center. His shelter kennel cough had gone untreated and developed into a serious case of pneumonia. Our volunteers were praying for his recovery. This is Grayson today with his new family.
Here’s what his parents say:
Read moreFrom shelter dog to cared-for in a loving home, Allie spent the first week with her new family getting to know her way around. After her first visit to the Vet's office - which she took in stride - Allie was treated to a five-star spa treatment. Her proud new parents announced, "the Techs LOVED her and gave her an oatmeal bath and put a bow in her hair even (not my thing but GOD, SHE SURE IS CUTE!). Upon returning home, she immediately went out to the yard and "ran, and ran and ran"
A special thanks to Barb and David for opening their hearts and their home to give Allie a new 'leash on life'!
His Dad says "he's such a good boy, it feels like we have been together forever!"

Manny(Lemontart) was saved from the kill shelter last year. Found roaming on the streets, Matted, filthy and with an ear infection. Look at him now! Living the life he deserves. We are so happy for our little boy!
Stella Enjoys a View of the Water
What can I say about my experience with Woof Cat and Dog Rescue. They helped me find the dog of my dreams. What can I say about Stella (formerly Mandy). Woof! posted an adoption ad on Craigslist that I responded to. I was originally looking for a smaller dog when I stumbled onto their ad and saw the dog of my dreams. Abbe, from the rescue agency contacted me immediately to set up a meeting between Mandy and I. I loved that dog from the start. She filled that void I had in my life and has been an constant companion in EVERYTHING I do. She was well behaved and trained from the first day I adopted her. Woof! Cat and Dog Rescue is doing a wonderful thing for the animals of New York and I would not hesitate to trust them in finding me a friend for life. I've included some pics of my companion Stella.
Casey
Meet our new WOOF! rescue boy, Casey, a two to three year old Glen of Imaal Terrier. He's around 25-lbs. of love and snuggles and, very well behaved. Casey has his shots, is neutered, micro-chipped and, has tested heart-work negative. He loves attention, especially getting an ear scratch or belly rub and happily greets every dog on the street. Food is his joy, and he happily eats anything that comes his way. He makes a point of sniffing everyone he meets to see if they picked up something special for him at the supermarket.
