Then we met friends with a beagle and went for a 2.5 mile walk. Dory walked maybe 1/3 and very well. She is walking nicely next to me and not crossing over. At one point I really had to speed up to keep up with her. Then she gets scared and sits so I know to pick her up. Next she went to a restaurant where she sat on my lap and took a nap. So good didn't beg once. Right now she is in my arms. Her favorite place to be. Still has not barked. Only her little whine to tell me she wants something. When he first arrived at his Woof foster home, he was terrified, and hid under the couch for about a week. He finally began thinking that he may be in a safe place, so he slowly began to crawl out more often and started letting his foster mom touch him. She can now put a sweater and harness on him, and take him out for walks. He was very fearful of things outside the home, but is acclimating to regular walks and now, when he hears the leash taken out, he runs to her to get dressed for his walk. He also now lets people touch him outdoors. Barkley has no aggressive tendencies at all (has never even growled), but should be in a quiet home where people are patient, will give him time to adjust, and will let him know they love him and he’ll never be hurt again. She was initially a little wary of other dogs, but after a day or so, was interested in playing with the foster’s medium size dog. Daisy would be great in a home with a single person or couple, or with a family with children who are over 10 years old as she may still be too rambunctious for small kids. Tippi was surrendered by her family who could no longer afford to take care of her and Woof Rescue removed her from the Manhattan shelter last week. Tippi was filthy and painfully matted and was immediately taken to be groomed. While she now has a needed short haircut, she is still adorable and charming. Her personality has blossomed now that she is being well-cared for. Tippi is well on her way to being housebroken as she is a smart little lady. We believe she would do best with a single owner and is a little skittish around men. She seems to prefer a quiet, laid back environment. During walks, she barks to “protect” her foster mom, but otherwise is not an excessive barker. She would be okay with another calm small to medium sized adult dog. Tippi is extremely affectionate and loves to be held and cuddled. She is in excellent health and has been spayed and vaccinated. Note that Tippi has hair, not fur, which means she will need to be brushed and professionally groomed on a regular basis to keep her healthy, clean and happy.
