Breed: Shih Tzu
Weight: 12 pounds
Meet our precious rescue boy, Cole. He's around five or six years old, and is a 12 lb. Shih Tzu. He was turned into the city shelter by his previous owners, but was lucky enough to be saved by Woof Rescue. Cole is sweet and loving with his foster mom and curls up with her on the sofa and in bed. When someone pets him and makes him happy, Cole emits the cutest purr noises and he'll run your way if you ask for kisses. All of the transitions in his life however, have left him a bit protective of his food and toys. His foster mom is diligently working with him on these guarding issues and making good progress. We know he’s certain to become more relaxed as he settles into a warm, loving home. Despite his personable nature, he will do best with new parents who are experienced with dogs and preferably live outside the city with perhaps a yard and good space for Cole to play. Please help us find a great home for this adorable boy!
Breed: Shih Tzu mix
Weight: 14 pounds
Meet sweet Delilah, an adorable 3 yr old (probably younger) Shih Tzu mix weighing in at about 14 lbs. She was found as a stray and taken to the Brooklyn shelter -- which didn't deter her happy spirit. She's enjoying time with her foster family and they say she's an absolutely great dog. She loves to play fetch, go on long walks, sit on laps and give lots of kisses! She's completely housebroken and also uses wee wee pads. She loves meeting other dogs and their owners on the street and loves to play with her favorite squeaky toy. Delilah is initially apprehensive with men, but warms up quickly. She's high energy and will be best with just adults or adults with older children who will have the time to exercise and play with her. We'd like a new family where someone is home a good portion of the day. She is young, energetic, healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and spayed. Delilah will bring years of joy to any family.
Looking for foster or adoptive home! We placed this gorgeous girl, Olive, when she was a tiny kitten (we rescued her with her mom and siblings while they were still nurslings). We're heartbroken that Olive is losing the only home she's ever known through no fault of her own. Her family is moving on, and Olive isn't part of their plans. She’s sweet, affectionate, playful and wow, is she gorgeous! Olive is 5 years old, spayed, healthy, and up to date on shots. We're looking for an adopter or someone who can foster Olive while we look for a permanent home.
