Meet Josie, a Yorkie/Brussels Griffin mix who is approximately five years old. This 8 pound bundle of joy is very friendly and follows her foster mom everywhere. She’s quiet in the home and loves eating and snuggling. Josie is paper trained but also knows to go outside. She walks well on the leash and wags her tail all the time. She is living with another small dog and cat so she would do well in a home with other pets. Josie was recently spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. All she needs now is a loving forever home. Please note that we only adopt within the NY Tri-State area.
Meet Bella, Woof’s newest rescue kitty. This precious one year old girl has a beautiful gray-striped coat. Weighing in at 5 pounds, she’ll be the size of a kitten forever. She is blind and will easily adjust to a new home after acclimating to the surroundings. In fact, Bella behaves much like a cat with full vision. She has a wonderfully sweet disposition and the NYC shelter staff noted that Bella purred nonstop while in the shelter. Bella is very easy to handle and she’ll do well with a person or family who will provide plenty of love and attention so she feels comfortable in her new home.
Meet our sweet boy Jude! He’s a 9 years young, 8 lb. Yorkie found as a stray and brought to the NYC shelter. It hasn’t hindered his spirit one bit. He loves his walks and outdoor adventures. He jumps with excitement when his leash is taken out. Jude loves other dogs and meeting new people, but we think he’ll do best in a home without children. He is housebroken and wee wee pad trained, loves treats and likes to curl up with his foster mom on the couch. He is seeing impaired in his left eye because of dry eye, and he will require daily eye drops. He is healthy, vaccinated and microchipped. He will be neutered and have a dental BEFORE adoption.
Meet Tanner, a sweet little 3 year old red Mini Pinscher, who is 14 lbs. of boundless energy and affection. He loves his walks, and leaps in the air when the harness and leash are brought out. Everyone smiles at him and pets Tanner during his walks, and he’s particularly fond of children and other dogs. He's housebroken, loves treats, and likes to curl up on the couch or in bed with his foster mom and get belly rubs. He would do best having a yard where he can run, but could live in any home as long as he gets lots of exercise and love. Tanner is neutered, has all his shots, is microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and ready for adoption.
Meet Sonny, a 4 year old sweet and friendly tabby looking for his forever home. He was surrendered to the city shelter because his owner was moving and could no longer care for him. We couldn’t let this little boy go, so WOOF rescued him and have watched Sonny thrive in his foster home. Sonny is living with a dog with no issues. He’s a hearty eater and litter box trained. He loves attention, and doesn’t like to be picked up, but does like to sit on laps and cuddle in bed at night. He will make a great companion -- he loves people and gets very attached. Sonny is vaccinated, recently neutered and healthy.
